Student Discrimination Grievance or Informal Concern/Complaint
It is the policy of the University of Missouri to provide equal opportunity for all enrolled students and applicants for admission to the University on the basis of merit without discrimination on the basis of their race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, national origin, age or disability, or Vietnam era veteran status. Sexual harassment shall be considered discrimination because of sex. To insure compliance with this policy, all University of Missouri prospective or enrolled students have available to them the Student Discrimination Grievance Procedure for resolving complaints and/or grievances regarding alleged discrimination.

Any student wishing to file a grievance or informal concern/complaint with Student Advocacy Services may do so by completing the below form or by scheduling an appointment with our office to see the student advocate.  Students may refer to the University of Missouri policy 390.010 Discrimination Grievance Procedure for Students.  A grievance or informal concern/complaint may be submitted on a variety of issues including, but not limited to: 

    Recruitment and admission to the institution.
    
Admission to and treatment while enrolled in an education program.
       
     * Intellectual pluralism, diversity or the free exchange of ideas    
    
Employment as a student employee on campus.
    
Other matters of significance relating to campus living or student life:
            
* Assignment of roommates in resident halls
            
* Actions of fraternities and sororities
            
* Membership in and/or admission to clubs/ organizations
            
* Student Health Services
            
* Financial aid awards

Please note that information will be kept confidential and will be shared with only those involved with the incident and the Student Discrimination & Grievance procedure.
